Massimo Berloni and Manuela Mariotti joined forces in 1999 to form Dondup The almost mystical name is Myngar Dondup a tibetan lama whose philosophical principle was: “all men are equal: race, colour and faith have no meaning, all that counts are one’s intentions and actions”. 

Dondup starts within Arcadia company in Fossombrone, tucked away in the green hills of the Marches, a place called “the denim valley” for its old tradition in jeans manufacturing. 

Dondup collections are designed and produced here, in a minimalist environment with few dashes of antique, where old and new harmoniously mould together. Thanks to the work of more than 70 people two core collections together with other smaller ones are created in order to propose new ideas every season.

Dondup collections start from denim arriving to a total look for woman, man and children. The expansion to achieve a total look collection was natural and enabled the company to grow and evolve during these 10 years. The value of manual skill characteristic of a large part of the Dondup production, together with a modern and original spirit, represent the peculiarity aspects of the made in Italy: the testing of new materials, original tailoring, manufacturing and a relentless search for innovation. Today Dondup is a famous brand not only for denim lovers but also for style connoisseurs.
